We are seeking a Project Engineer in Saudi Arabia who will provide on‑site team leadership and resolve complex challenges using established processes.

What you’ll do:

  • Act as a single point of contact for the duration of the project and clearly communicate project expectations to all relevant stakeholders.

  • Liaise with client’s technical staff and visit potential job sites, as required, to verify project needs.

  • Deliver projects to specification, within agreed timelines and to budget.

  • Works closely with SME’s, Project Design team and Sales team to ensure that project application design is accurate and fit for purpose according to customer requirements.

  • Provides ongoing support to the Regional Project Engineering teams and builds local project engineering capability in conjunction with the Regional Heads of Operations.

  • Manages the incoming workload of project sales enquiries

  • Manages the application design and associated workload for all complex enquiries.

  • Provides Engineering advice to the Commercial team on the technical component of bids.

  • Ensures the adherence of all project designs to the relevant quality, safety, environmental and legalisation standards.

  • Works closely with the Regional Engineering teams in development and implementation of Best Engineering Practices and Procedures for the Global Applications Engineering Group.

  • Displays a commitment to Orange Excellence initiatives

  • Analysis of client system load profiles and electrical plant characteristics to determine sizing of power generation packages.

  • Analysis and interpretation of electrical drawings to determine parameters for safe and efficient connection of power packages to customers’ electrical distribution systems.

  • Compilation of engineering design reports for submission to clients and management.

  • Design and specification of ‘specialist’ equipment.

  • Adherence to the relevant quality, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements and standards.

You’ll have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BEng) or equivalent; MEng advantageous.

  • Minimum 5 years’ engineering experience, including on‑site operations and people management.

  • Strong technical background in electrical distribution systems, generator operation, fault diagnosis, testing and commissioning procedures.

  • Experience supporting major events, entertainment or television broadcast projects, including hands‑on use of event power/distribution equipment.

  • Proven track record of working within and promoting a robust Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) culture.

  • Confident supervising and directly managing small‑to‑medium on‑site teams.

  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Basic ability in Auto CAD LT would be an advantage
