Project Management:
Strategic role and be responsible for key projects of the plants
Perform Preliminary Risks Identification (PRI) and participate in Risks Analysis (ARA)
Carries out studies and modifications required at the plant
Actively involved in continuous improvement initiatives of the plant's technical and administrative processes (Acetylene and Hydrogen/Propylene) in order to develop and improve process management and reporting tools
Responsible for managing suppliers, contractors, budget, schedule and other project indicators
Communicates modifications made during projects
Management of Change:
Initiates MOC process while performing Risks Identification and Analysis
Assesses MOC impact on safety, health, environment, reliability, and quality, and identifies the applicable ALC standards, local mandatory regulations, standards, codes and laws.
Approves and/or implements the change or elevates it to the next tier, as required.
Responsible for providing support to the plant to maintain any required certification related to the cylinder operations in Varennes
Investigates and audits accidents:
May be called upon to lead the investigation team following IMS events (accidents, near-misses, etc.).
Identifies unsafe situations and practices and proposes initiatives/projects and follows up on the implementation.
Perform technical and IMS self-audits to support the region’s audit targets.
Support on Production and Maintenance Management:
Provide support in writing SOPs to provide plant personnel with appropriate training material.
Promotes, develops and implements continuous improvement and optimization of operational methods, either production or supply chain processes.
Develops efficiencies and sets production standards.
Responsible for supporting efficiency projects initiatives.

Degree: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical or industrial engineering or related training
Training: quality management principles (ISO), knowledge of Oracle and Servitrax is an asset
Knowledge: MRP, gas compression systems, computerized systems, MS Office, oral and written communication skills
A minimum of 5 years in an industrial environment involving the handling of hazardous products and materials.
Must have carried out projects in an industrial environment, particularly in classified areas.
