The Project Development Manager will collaborate to drive the development of renewable energy projects in Thailand from early-stage identification through to financial close. The primary mission is to ensure and oversee that all project development activities — including land acquisition, permitting, stakeholder management, and financial evaluation — are executed effectively, in line with Acciona’s standards and Thailand’s renewable energy regulations.
This position serves as a key interface between the Head of Business Development, the Regional and local leadership in Thailand, as well as the project site teams, and external stakeholders, ensuring the technical, commercial, and social viability of projects under development.
Supervise and support project development activities to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Coordinate and drive collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver project documentation, permits, and technical studies.
Oversee Site Coordinators in land acquisition, surveys, and stakeholder engagement.
Track and control project progress, timelines, and budgets from origination through to construction readiness.
Review land-related agreements and documentation to ensure alignment with project design and strategy.
Represent the company and participate in consultations and meetings with landowners, local communities, and government authorities.
Support engagement to strengthen relationships with regulatory bodies and ministries to secure project approvals and align with policy requirements.
Lead financial and risk analyses to support feasibility assessments and investment decisions.
Develop and present business cases, project proposals, and annual planning inputs.
Provide strategic insights and recommendations to support business growth and portfolio diversification.
Lead coordination with engineering, legal, environmental, and permitting teams to ensure alignment and compliance across all project phases.
Oversee and ensure smooth project handover to construction upon completion of development milestones.
Prepare and deliver high-quality reports, presentations, and briefings for top management and other stakeholders.
Conduct site visits and due diligence activities as required.
Required Skills and Competencies
Experience in the Energy sector of at least 5 years
Experience in business development and project management of at least 10 years
Experience in working in a multinational company
Fluent in Thai, English and Spanish
Open to frequent travel to project / development sites in Thailand
