The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

Job Description

This role will lead, manage, and coordinate multiple projects, ensuring implementation is successful as well as aligned to department and university goals. The project coordinator is responsible for the efficient operation of the department, including supporting department employees with operational needs and creating positive working relationships throughout WGU.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Coordinates the execution of strategic deliverables and manages completion of follow-up items and deliverables
• Meets project deadlines
• Ensure accuracy of project management tools (AtTask)
• Escalate project risks as appropriate
• Confirm external contracts for vendors and consultants are executed in a timely manner
• Leads, coordinates, assists with, and reports on projects, including, but not limited to, project tracking and follow up, milestone management, data analyzation, preparation of communications
• Manage inputs from all development roles for each project to set deliverables and dates
• Utilize project management tools to manage and document decisions, task assignments, and approvals.
• Review, resolve, or redirect information and issues that from the COS feedback system
• Works closely with other team members to analyze, strategize, and complete ad hoc requests creatively, effectively, and efficiently
• Coordinates and executes department events, including managing meeting spaces, catering, and travel accommodations for the annual training conference
• Fulfills other duties as assigned

• Ability to prioritize assignments and work on multiple deadline-driven priorities
• Ability to exhibit good judgement under pressure

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

3 years of related experience as doing project coordination or similar
Excellent Communication Skills

Solid Knowledge of Microsoft Products

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in a business or related field

Project coordination/management experience or certification  

Background knowledge/experience in higher ed

This position requires occasional travel of up to 20%, including required attendance at designated company summits (typically one to two per year). Additional travel may include conferences, visits to company locations, and other business-related events as needed. Additional travel may be assigned as needed to support business requirements.

Position & Application Details
