Your New Role!  

Responsible for the project coordination of Fortescue Projects, you will deliver comprehensive support both Operational and Financial that enables senior researchers to effectively facilitate their research.

Your key responsibilities will include –

  • Project & contract administration and support for Fortescue-funded projects.
  • Providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Fortescue Chair.
  • Providing essential financial support to ensure the effective management of resources and smooth operation of financial processes.

This Fixed Term (ending 31/12/26) | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $91,000 – $98,000 plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Completion of a diploma level qualification with relevant work experience and/or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience in project coordination, managing various aspects of projects to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of competence in Excel; ensuring you can efficiently manage, analyse and present data.
  • High level of computer literacy and proficiency in the production of professional outputs using software such as Microsoft Office and specified University software programs, with the capability and willingness to learn new packages as appropriate.
  • Demonstrated high level of organisational, time and workload management skills; with the ability to prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines.
  • Effective communication, customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with staff at all levels of the organisation and/or external stakeholders.
  • Ability to use initiative, assume responsibility for tasks and projects and to resolve problems.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and flexibility to undertake a diverse range of tasks with minimal supervision.
