Essential Responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee day-to-day operations of heavy civil construction projects, including earthworks, road construction, utilities, and drainage systems
Work closely with project managers to monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
Manage communication between internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely execution of project tasks
Review and interpret construction drawings, technical documents, and specifications to ensure all work complies with project requirements
Prepare and track progress reports, change orders, RFIs, and other project documentation
Ensure that all work activities are completed in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
Perform site visits to monitor progress, verify work quality, and resolve any issues on-site
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project activities, including material and equipment tracking
Assist in the preparation of tender documents, subcontracts, and purchase orders
Provide support to project teams by facilitating meetings, ensuring proper documentation, and tracking project milestones
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project coordination, specifically within the heavy civil or industrial construction industry
Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction processes, including road construction, earthworks, piping, utilities, and drainage
Proficiency in using project management software (Procore, MS Project, or similar), as well as Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance for heavy civil projects
Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is an asset
Work Conditions:
This is a site based position, travel will be provided as required.
Compensation
$68,000.00 - $93,500.00This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
