Position Summary

The Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that schedules are kept, change orders are written, and requests for information are documented.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works directly under the Project Manager and is responsible for helping ensure theproject is successful.
  • Prepare and maintain an authorization to proceed document for approval and payment.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing Requests for Information questions.
  • Review schedule to track progress.
  • Review time sheets to ensure hours are charged to the correct phase codes.
  • Requisition the material needed to support the schedule of erection.
  • Track progress of work and update weekly progress reports.
  • The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred and/or a minimum of 3 to 4 years’ experience with steel erection or industrial millwright.
  • Should be familiar with AISC and building code requirements.
  • Must be detail oriented and familiar with systems both manual and electronic.
  • Must have excellent oral/written communication skills.
  • Must be mathematically and computer literate.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project/Primavera P6.

Physical Demands

  • Overtime required to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds occasionally.
  • All the physical demands listed are essential functions.
