The Opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy Canada and support the team that lead projects that power a sustainable future. You’ll work closely with diverse teams, assist in organizing tasks, and help maintain timelines and documentation. This position offers opportunities to strengthen your organizational skills, build cross-functional relationships, and develop expertise in project coordination.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Define project guidelines and allocate tasks to internal and external teams.

  • Motivate and monitor resources to achieve milestones.

  • Provide performance feedback on project progress.

  • Develop project plans including scope, financials, schedule, and risk management.

  • Ensure execution aligns with best practices and company policies.

  • Monitor financials: invoicing, costs, expenses, and cash flow.

  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities.

  • Capture and share lessons learned; ensure formal project close-out.

  • Apply contract and claims management per company policies.

  • Coordinate procurement with Supply Chain Management.

  • Act as key contact for customers and manage stakeholder relationships.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.

  • Proven experience in project management within energy or industrial sectors.

  • Strong knowledge of planning, scheduling, and risk management.

  • Financial acumen with experience in cost control and cash flow management.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results.

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
