Project Coordinator / CAD Planner SSA – JLL
Are you passionate about transforming workspaces and bringing strategic real estate plans to life? As a Project Coordinator / CAD Planner for the Spanish-speaking Americas (SSA) region, you'll be at the heart of JLL's workplace planning operations across Mexico, Central America, and South America (excluding Brazil). This role combines technical precision with strategic coordination, empowering you to shape how organizations utilize their spaces. You'll collaborate with diverse teams across multiple countries, translating workplace visions into accurate, actionable CAD documentation while managing end-to-end space planning projects. Your technical expertise and cross-cultural communication skills will directly impact how leading organizations optimize their real estate portfolios throughout the SSA region, making this an exciting opportunity to grow your career within JLL's dynamic global platform.
Creating and maintaining detailed CAD drawings including floor plans, space layouts, furniture configurations, and as-built documentation for facilities throughout the SSA portfolio, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with local standards.
Coordinating multiple space planning projects simultaneously from initiation to completion, managing scope development, stakeholder communications, project timelines, and final deliverable creation across different time zones.
Developing space utilization analyses, occupancy reports, and compelling visual representations that support strategic workplace planning and inform real estate decision-making for clients.
Collaborating closely with occupancy planners, facility management teams, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements and space needs into precise technical drawings and executable implementation plans.
Maintaining database accuracy by ensuring alignment between physical space conditions, CAD documentation, and IWMS system records, serving as the single source of truth for space data.
Supporting Move-Add-Change (MAC) activities by producing blocking diagrams, detailed furniture layouts, comprehensive relocation plans, and coordinating effectively with service providers to ensure smooth execution.
Ensuring all space planning work complies with local building codes, accessibility standards, safety regulations, and client-specific design guidelines across multiple countries with varying requirements.
Bachelor's degree or technical degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or closely related field demonstrating foundational knowledge of built environment principles.
3-5 years of hands-on experience in CAD drafting, space planning, or project coordination within corporate real estate, facilities management, or architectural environments.
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or comparable CAD software platforms with demonstrated ability to produce accurate, professional-grade technical drawings and documentation.
Spanish language fluency required for effective communication across SSA markets; strong English proficiency highly preferred to support global collaboration and documentation.
Exceptional attention to detail with proven organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining quality standards and meeting deadlines.
Strong cross-cultural communication abilities and demonstrated experience working effectively across diverse teams, time zones, and regional business practices.
Working knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and workplace regulations applicable to Latin American countries, or demonstrated ability to research and apply regional requirements.
Experience with Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) or Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) platforms such as Archibus, iOffice, or similar systems.
Portuguese language proficiency enabling expanded communication capabilities across South American markets including potential Brazil collaboration.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite including Excel for data analysis, PowerPoint for presentations, and SharePoint for document management and team collaboration.
Understanding of workplace strategy principles, activity-based working concepts, and contemporary office design trends influencing space planning decisions.
Experience supporting change management processes related to workplace relocations, redesigns, or consolidations in corporate environments.
Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (Agile, Waterfall, MS Project, Smartsheet) supporting structured project delivery approaches.
Previous exposure to multi-country portfolio management with understanding of varying client expectations, cultural considerations, and regional operational practices.
