POSITION SUMMARY
Marathon Petroleum Corporation’s Galveston Bay Refinery is seeking a Project Controls Manager. The Project Controls Manager provides strategic leadership and oversight for the Project Controls function supporting a dynamic portfolio of small to mid-cap capital and expense projects (up to $100MM) at the Galveston Bay Refinery. This role supervises a multidisciplinary team of Cost Analysts, Schedulers, Estimators, and Project Controls Specialists, ensuring consistent, high-quality execution of cost control, scheduling, estimating, and budgeting processes.
The manager collaborates closely with internal departments (Engineering, Accounting, Maintenance, Tech Services, Supply Chain, Corporate Project Management) and external engineering firms to ensure compliance with corporate standards and effective project delivery. Potential travel is required for project meetings and best practices sessions, typically less than 10%.
