Project Controls ManagerThe Role
In this role, you’ll focus on implementing and maintaining effective project controls processes, including cost management, scheduling, and risk tracking. You’ll work closely with project teams to ensure accurate reporting, adherence to best practices, and successful project outcomes.

Location
Leatherhead – 3 days in the office
Security Requirements
Due to project security requirements, candidates must be eligible for UK security clearance. This typically requires sole British citizenship and no dual nationality.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain cost control systems and coding structures
Monitor budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts
Prepare monthly cost reports and variance analyses
Track commercial changes and recommend corrective actions
Collaborate with procurement and finance for accurate cost tracking
Assist with earned value management (EVM) reporting
Support schedule updates and progress tracking using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project
Help maintain risk registers and monitor mitigation actions
What we Need
Experience in project controls, cost engineering, or similar discipline
Strong understanding of cost control principles and financial concepts (revenue and cost recognition)
Proficiency in Excel and cost management systems (e.g., Deltek Cobra, Costpoint, SAP, MSD), Power BI and MS Project
Familiarity with scheduling and risk management practices
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear communication
Knowledge of project lifecycle and delivery methodologies
