About the role
We are currently looking for a Project Architect who will be responsible for ensuring that the architectural design intent, quality standards, and functional requirements are fully realized during construction through effective coordination, review, and site oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review all architectural design documents including tender drawings, GFC drawings, specifications, schedules of finishes, and design details to ensure clarity and completeness.
- Establish a clear understanding of the architectural scope, design intent, spatial requirements, and contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with the Lead Architect, design consultants, and Engineer of Record to resolve design discrepancies, missing details, and technical clarifications.
- Support procurement activities by defining architectural work packages and reviewing technical submissions, shop drawings, mock-ups, material samples, and product data sheets. Review and recommend approval of architectural materials, finishes, façade elements, joinery, signage, and interior components in line with specifications and design intent
- Review and respond to RFIs related to architectural works and coordinate timely resolution with the design team. Ensure proper coordination between architectural works and civil, structural, MEFP, façade, and finishing activities to avoid clashes and rework.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify alignment with design intent, detailing accuracy, and aesthetic quality. Participate in site coordination meetings, technical meetings, and progress review meetings, providing architectural updates and recommendations.
- Ensure proper documentation of architectural approvals, revisions, inspections, and test records in coordination with the Document Controller.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
- Registration with a professional architectural body is preferred.
- Minimum 12-15 years of relevant experience in architectural design coordination, construction supervision, or PMC/consultancy roles.
- Proven experience in delivering building projects such as academic, institutional, commercial, or mixed-use developments. Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, detailing, materials, finishes, and construction methodologies.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, mock-ups, and design intent documents.
