STV is seeking a skilled, technically grounded Project Architect to lead construction documentation and technical delivery across a range of project types in our Philadelphia office. This is a hands-on role for a professional who takes ownership of the work — from drawings and specifications through construction administration — while actively contributing to the growth of the team around them.
The Project Architect will partner closely with the Project Manager on day-to-day execution and engage directly with STV’s national technical pillar to help shape firmwide standards, best practices, and lessons learned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead construction document production and technical coordination across all engineering disciplines and outside consultants — ensuring fully integrated, conflict-free deliverables at every milestone.
- Serve as the primary authority on code compliance, life safety, and technical problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle, including existing-conditions evaluation and phased delivery on renovation work.
- Mentor and develop architectural staff at all levels — within project teams and across the broader Philadelphia office — fostering a culture of authorship, accountability, and professional growth. Lead the architectural response during construction administration — managing RFIs, submittals, and field conditions with clarity and technical rigor.
- Contribute actively to STV’s national technical pillar — participating in working sessions, sharing project experience, and helping build the standards and tools that elevate delivery firmwide.
Qualifications - Registered Architect (RA); licensure in a U.S. jurisdiction
- 12+ years of progressive architectural experience with demonstrated responsibility for construction document production.
- Proficiency in Revit and BIM coordination workflows.
- This position will be working on USACE projects that will require US citizenship and applicants will not be eligible for sponsorship.
- Solid working knowledge of IBC, accessibility standards, and life safety requirements.
- Experience on renovation or assessment-based projects, including existing-conditions documentation and phased delivery.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical content clearly to project teams and firmwide audiences.
- NCARB certification, LEED accreditation, public-sector client experience, and familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud preferred.
