Project Administrator - Locates (7-Month Contract)

You are a Locates Coordinator who is responsible for managing and tracking underground utility locate requests to ensure projects move forward safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations. You will serve as a key point of coordination between internal teams, systems, and external locating services, supporting field operations and project timelines.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Submit and manage utility locate requests through designated web portals in accordance with project schedules and regulatory requirements
  • Track all phases of locate requests using internal systems such as Quickbase, CMIS, and Uexcavate, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
  • Maintain, update, and organize project files with detailed locate information, including statuses, expirations, and supporting documentation
  • Monitors locate timelines and follow up on overdue or expiring locates to prevent project delays
  • Communicate locate status updates clearly to coordinators, superintendents, and other project stakeholders
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to coordinators and superintendents to ensure field crews have the information needed before work begins
  • Identify and escalate potential conflicts, missing locates, or discrepancies in documentation
  • Support continuous improvement of locate tracking processes and data accuracy

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to organize, track, and report data efficiently
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt quickly to changing project needs and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and tracking

Work Conditions:

  • This is a work from home position with the expectation of being in office once per month
  • This is a 7-month fixed term position

Compensation

$40,000.00 - $55,000.00

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
