Job Description
FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Programmer Analysts II- Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) in Jacksonville, FL to design, code, test, implement, maintain, and support applications software that is delivered on time and within budget. Work closely with customers, business analysts and team members
to understand business requirements that drive analysis and design of quality technical solutions ensuring alignment with business and IT strategies and complying with FIS architectural standards. Provide application software development services or technical support typically in a defined project. Develop program logic for new applications or analyze and modify logic in existing applications. Code, test, debug, document, implement and maintain software applications. Maintain, test and integrate application components. Make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. Ensure system improvements are successfully implemented. Demonstrate an understanding of FIS systems and the financial services industry. Analyze requirements and translate business requirements into product designs. Write technical specifications and other forms of documentation. Suggest technical
alternatives and improves/streamlines processes and systems. Complete project assignments and special projects commensurate with job expectations. Conduct planning, analysis and forecasting activities to plan projects and tasks. Participate in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy versus build recommendations.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Security and Assurance or related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation: managing application server operations, including start/stop processes, cluster & node Managements, and performance monitoring using IBM Websphere Application Server administrative console; utilizing Splunk to analyze logs and investigate application and functional issues; maintaining Unix/Linux server environments for enterprise applications by performing regular housekeeping, managing file systems, monitoring CPU memory and swap space to ensure system stability; communicating with end users to gather accurate information for incident and request tickets in ServiceNow, ensuring timely resolution and adhering to defined Service Level Agreements; developing shell scripts to automate manual process, reducing operational toil and enhancing system stability; and performing root cause analysis for incidents, document findings, contribute to process improvement initiatives, and track problems to final resolution, ensuring long term fixes and reducing recurrence.
