Marsh Specialty UK, is undertaking an exciting large-scale digital transformation programme that is central to the business strategy. We are seeking a talented individual to deliver a complex and evolving programme of change, enabling the future success of the business. This role requires deep understanding of the London Insurance Market, digital transformation, and proven experience in delivering structural change at scale.

This role will be based in London. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

  • Oversee multiple related projects, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain the programme roadmap, coordinating cross-project dependencies and resource allocation.
  • Manage programme-level risks and issues, escalating as necessary and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement at senior levels, providing regular updates on programme progress, benefits realization, and challenges.
  • Drive benefits management, tracking and reporting on the achievement of programme goals.
  • Facilitate governance processes, including programme steering committees and decision-making forums.
  • Mentor and support project managers within the programme to enhance delivery capability and consistency.
  • Drive end-to-end project management, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Partner with business leaders to define vision, objectives, and success metrics for transformation initiatives.
  • Take ownership and drive project outcomes, provide updates, and communicate project milestones to stakeholders.
  • Prepare and support the business for change, driving user adoption of digital trading tools and processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop project plans, allocate resources, assess risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate a clear and consistent reason for change, regularly updating all internal stakeholders on progress, challenges, and outcomes.
  • Cascade change throughout the organization, empowering leaders and teams to own and drive transformation.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, manage resistance, and adapt plans to ensure successful adoption.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements, align expectations, and resolve issues.
  • Monitor project progress and performance metrics, adjusting plans as needed to meet objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with Marsh and regulatory standards throughout project lifecycles.
  • Continually monitor and measure success.

What you need to have: 

  • Proven track record of managing complex, large-scale programmes, within the insurance sector. Proven experience managing business projects, preferably in Specialty insurance.
  • Experience in coordinating multiple projects and managing interdependencies to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across business and technology functions.
  • Expertise in programme governance, risk management, and benefits realization.
  • Familiarity with programme management methodologies and tools (e.g., MSP, Agile at scale).
  • Ability to navigate organisational change and drive adoption across diverse teams and to analyse complex problems and develop practical solutions.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
  • Deep understanding of digital transformation projects and typical risks and challenges to overcome.
  • Passion for change
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, MS Project).
  • Relevant Programme and/or Project management certification (MSP, PgMP, PMQ, PRINCE2, or equivalent) preferred.
