An exciting opportunity for a Programme Lead has arisen within our Defence Early Lifecycle Portfolio Integration team to support the full range of activities from managing contract deliverables, finances and external customer interactions to supporting in the creation and delivery of programme processes, governance and compliance activities. This role involves working with a range of stakeholders to support the delivery of the programme and thus enabling the delivery of our Defence Combat strategy for the next 50 years.

What you will be doing:

  • Delivering contract requirements, including financials, deliverables, milestones and reporting on one of the most exciting and fastest growing Defence programmes.
  • Manage and report variances to project baseline and report programme Key Performance Indicators to ensure we maintain the highest quality, cost and delivery expectations.
  • Review programme data, identify and report trends, highlight anomalies and corrective action if performance is outside requirements.
  • Influence and report to relevant stakeholders, whether that is internally, to external partners and customers.  
  • Responsible for the development, delivery and governance of portfolio level documents and controls such as budgets, processes and management plans, shaping and influencing the future of the programme.
  • Review and report the status of key activities in accordance with the programme requirements and agreed with the Programme Manager.

   

Position qualifications:

  • Experience in leading projects in complex environments
  • Proven delivery against time, cost, quality, and performance targets 
  • Strong stakeholder and governance management skills
  • Financially literate, with the ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and cost performance.

 Preferred requirements:

  • Professional accreditation (e.g. APM) or working towards
  • Exposure to commercial or contract management activities
  • Experience working with national or international partners or customers.
  • Experience driving continuous-improvement or transformation within a programme environment.

For this role you will need to hold a Security Check (SC) (UK Eyes only) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality.

Please be aware that the priority will be given to employees identified as being at high risk.
