The Programme Executive will partner with a range of key internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of key programme milestones which will enable the delivery of our Defence combat strategy for the next 50 years. The Programme Executive will become a key component of the team ensuring we continue and build on our momentum to set a new standard in how we deliver the next generation of combat air solutions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop valuable expertise in leadership, delivery and strategic direction.

What you will be doing:

The Programme Executive will join the Senior Leadership Team and will be:

  • Leading a multi-faceted team and complex high value programme from concept to delivery
  • Executing the developed strategy on behalf of the Early Lifecyle UK&I leadership to meet identified and anticipated customer requirements
  • Identifying internal and external customer requirements and develop a strategy and supporting business case to meet those needs
  • Ensuring the delivery of all programme activities with account of the full project and product lifecycle to agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)                                            
  • Leading stakeholder interface management and delivering stakeholder requirements.         
  • Lead integration of major work packages to deliver the programme objectives.         

Who we are looking for:

  • Experience in leading and managing complex high value projects, programmes and portfolios                                                                                       
  • Experience and exposure to non-core project management roles (i.e. purchasing, commercial, engineering management etc).
  • Extensive ‘Full Programme’ lifecycle experience
  • Strong Stakeholder Management, interpersonal and problem-solving skills at all levels
  • Member of a professional body and working towards RPP (Recognised Project Professional) qualification or equivalent.

To work for the Rolls-Royce Defence Business there may be a requirement for an individual to hold a level of National Security Vetting (NSV). If the requirement is identified Rolls-Royce will support the application for NSV if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
