The College of Veterinary Medicine's Department of Veterinary Preventive Medicine is seeking a part-time (50% FTE) Program Specialist to support the College's Antimicrobial Stewardship Program initiatives. Primary responsibilities for this position involve coordination of the OSU-VMC Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (ASP) activities and the Antimicrobial Stewardship Working Group (ASWG). Responsibilities within the ASWG include: maintaining and updating the OSU-VMC Antimicrobial Use Guidelines; participating in the active surveillance program in the OSU-VMC; gathering and analyzing surveillance data and preparing reports for hospital leadership; delivering ASP lectures and trainings for students, staff, and faculty; performing ASP program evaluation and necessary research activities; and ASWG meeting coordination. In conjunction with ASP responsibilities, other duties will also include Infection Control activities in the OSU-VMC. This includes support of the OSU-VMC Hand Hygiene Campaign; evaluating and updating Infection Control practices within the OSU-VMC, as needed; and delivering Infection Control lectures and training for students, faculty, and staff.

Duties assigned to this position will include teaching responsibilities, both in-person and online. Teaching will focus on relevant topic areas (ASP, Infection Control, Infectious/Zoonotic Diseases, etc.) at the undergraduate, graduate, and professional DVM level. This will include delivery of already developed material as well as creating new course material, as

necessitated by curriculum updates. Participation in clinical or field research projects in relevant topic areas is expected. Responsibilities in this area will be further defined as projects are developed and assigned.

The DVM or VMD with PhD in Veterinary Epidemiology and 2+ years of veterinary antimicrobial stewardship program management experience.
