Your responsibilities include

  • Program Management
    • Partner with Product Management to ensure a healthy program roadmap and backlog, fostering a value-driven approach to product development
    • Develop and maintain execution plans, including timelines, key milestones, and resource capacity management
    • Ensure products and features are delivered on time with desired business outcomes
    • Collect and analyze metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices
    • Foster internal team communication by building a trusting and safe environment where the emphasis on problem-solving - facilitate discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and ensure effective communication and collaboration
    • Foster a positive team environment that promotes productivity, creativity, and high performance
  • Scrum Master
    • Facilitating all Agile ceremonies, incl. sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to keep the teams aligned & on track
    • Work closely with the Product Owners to manage the product backlog, prioritize tasks, and ensure alignment with project goals
    • Collect and analyze metrics to identify areas for improvement and report on progress (e.g. burndown charts, defect trends, user story/feature completion rates, capacity, velocity)
    • Monitor progress and performance, providing regular updates to stakeholders and adjusting plans as necessary
    • Manage risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery
    • Remove impediments that hinder the team’s progress and work to resolve conflicts
    • Coach and mentor team members on Agile practices to achieve greater Agile maturity while maintaining a sustainable and productive development pace
    • Collaborate with other leaders developing and maintaining standards, tools, and best practices related to Agile and SAFe methodologies

What is needed to be successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
  • SAFe, PMP, CSPO, CSM or other relevant certifications
  • severals years of experience in the Agile/SAFe environment and or Program Management
  • Deep knowledge and experience of Agile techniques: user story writing, backlog management, Agile planning and road mapping, continuous improvement, retro games
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools including Rally or Jira
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across teams and motivate
  • Strong leadership skills, with a track record of proactively driving process improvements and solving problems for the product team to enhance ability to deliver value
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle complex issues effectively
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • You are an effective and experienced coach, capable of guiding teams to be self-organizing and achieve their objectives

It will be nice if

  • You have worked in the insurance or financial services industries
  • You have proven experience in leading product development from concept to launch, including the full product cycle (requirements gathering/analysis, design, testing and documentation)
