The Program Manager, Strategic Technical Consulting plays a critical role in enabling the successful delivery of high‑impact consulting engagements for Agilent’s most strategic enterprise software customers. This role ensures complex, multi‑workstream programs are planned, governed, and executed with excellence—balancing customer outcomes, financial performance, and internal alignment.
Working closely with Strategic Technical Consultants, sales, customer success, product, and executive stakeholders, the Program Manager serves as the operational backbone of the Strategic Technical Consulting portfolio, driving consistency, transparency, and scalability across engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Engagement Management
Lead end‑to‑end program management for complex, high‑value strategic consulting engagements, including scope definition, planning, execution, risk management, and closure
Coordinate multiple concurrent projects across global teams, ensuring dependencies, milestones, and deliverables are clearly defined and tracked
Establish and maintain standardized program governance, reporting, and escalation mechanisms
Customer & Stakeholder Partnership
Partner with Strategic Technical Consultants to support trusted‑advisor relationships with top‑tier customers
Act as a central point of coordination between customers, consultants, sales, and internal delivery teams
Support customer communications related to program status, risks, and outcomes in a clear, professional, and proactive manner
Financial & Commercial Oversight
Track program financials including revenue, margins, invoicing milestones, and change requests
Support Statement of Work (SOW) development, scope management, and change control in collaboration with sales and consulting leadership
Ensure programs are delivered in alignment with commercial commitments and Agilent financial objectives
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
Develop and maintain program management best practices, templates, and tools for Strategic Technical Consulting
Identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency, scalability, and consistency across engagements
Capture lessons learned and contributed to continuous improvement of ESCS delivery models
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with Product, Support, Enablement, and Customer Success teams to align delivery with product roadmaps and customer needs
Support internal planning, forecasting, and leadership reporting for the Strategic Technical Consulting portfolio

Strategic consulting programs are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to customer and business objectives
Consultants are enabled to focus on technical value delivery while program risks and dependencies are proactively managed
Customers experience a high level of professionalism, transparency, and confidence in Agilent’s delivery capabilities
The Strategic Technical Consulting organization operates with increased consistency, predictability, and scalability
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a technical, scientific, or business discipline, or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience managing complex programs or large‑scale consulting engagements in a technical or enterprise software environment
Strong understanding of program management fundamentals including scope, schedule, risk, and financial management
Proven ability to coordinate cross‑functional, geographically distributed teams
Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in life sciences, laboratory informatics, regulated environments, or enterprise software services
Familiarity with professional services delivery models and SOW‑based engagements
Program or project management certification (e.g., PMP, PgMP, Prince2)
Experience supporting strategic or executive‑level customer engagements

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
