Job Description

The Program Manager, under direction, plans, organizes, directs, and manages day-to-day activities, developing and implementing procedures for the administration of the teaching program.

Responsibilities:

-Plans, organizes, directs and manages day-to-day activities, developing and implementing procedures for the administration of the program

-Assists in developing strategic plans and goals for recruiting, student engagement, awards/scholarships, and events that support the program.

-Assists with the development and production of materials designed for the program including but not limited to social media posts, fliers, presentations, and website resources

-Provides reminders and general support for teaching faculty and administration (e.g., Canvas, accessibility, student demographic information, evaluations, etc.). This also includes ability to identify campus and external resources for help associated with teaching (e.g., Title 9, Disability Resources, Center for Teaching Excellence, etc.)

-Develops and conduct programs including student recruitment, conferences, seminars, workshops, and awards events.

-Supervises program support staff and student assistants

-Assists with yearly budgetary and contract processes. Prepares vouchers, purchase orders and requisition and coordinate with accounting personnel and other support staff

-Researches, develops and prepares presentations for events. Assists with educational grant proposals. Maintains and develops communications between partners by attending meetings and conference calls.

-Other duties as required.

Education and Experience:

-Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

-Five years of related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

-Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, leadership, problem solving, and organizational skills.

-Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.

-Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

-Ability to drive (preferred)

-Ability to travel occasionally to recruiting events

-Knowledge of Texas A&M University teaching and multimedia resources (e.g., Compass, Canva, Canvas, Canopy, Adobe Acrobat, Google Docs, Teams, Qualtrics, etc.)
