Job Expectations

Build your career and Australia’s future.

Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements

A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Program Manager reporting to Executive Manager – Program Capability Delivery.

A bit about your role

The Program Manager – Program Capability Delivery is a critical leadership role within the IP&D Fixed Line Build Program, accountable for delivering the core capabilities that enable delivery at scale. This includes automation, reporting, systems, tools, and enterprise delivery enablement across the IP&D Fixed Line portfolio. This role provides central orchestration across complex, multistream initiatives, owning delivery endtoend from initiation through to deployment. It carries accountability for BRD and CDR ownership, UAT signoff, delivery readiness, SEO alignment, roadmap ownership, and business enablement, ensuring capabilities are not only delivered, but embedded and adopted effectively.

The position holds full product ownership and technical delivery accountability, with responsibility for ensuring solutions are delivered in line with business requirements, delivery strategy, and longterm operational sustainability. Operating in a highly dynamic and interdependent environment, the Program Manager actively manages risk, crossprogram dependencies, and enterprisewide change, while ensuring delivery approaches remain commercially sound and aligned to Fixed Line and IP&D strategic objectives.

The role works extensively with senior internal stakeholders and external partners to bridge technical execution with business value, driving scalability, adoption, and sustained benefits across the broader enterprise. This is a handson leadership role requiring strong ownership, resilience, and judgment. Success in this role depends on the ability to influence at senior levels, navigate ambiguity, and maintain delivery integrity across a complex and evolving program landscape.

A bit about you

You bring strong ownership of capability delivery and the ability to orchestrate complex, crossfunctional initiatives across multiple business units. You act as the key conduit between business and technical teams, translating intent into executable solutions and driving valuefocused outcomes, including final UAT signoff on behalf of IP&D Fixed Line. You have a strong understanding of NBN systems, network concepts, and FTTN/FTTP delivery, and experience operating within largescale, multiteam programs where decisions carry material enterprise impact. You are pragmatic, resilient, and outcomesfocused, with a strong simplification mindset and a collaborative, confident approach to delivery. You are comfortable operating in ambiguity, challenging constructively, and making decisions that balance delivery urgency with longterm sustainability.
