In This Role
You will be part of a mechanical engineering team responsible for designing and delivering hardware for innovative devices. You will manage a controller program, collaborating with cross-functional teams and interfacing with clients to ensure the successful delivery of projects on schedule and within budget. This role combines technical expertise in mechanical and electronic hardware with program management skills to drive programs from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the management of controller programs, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating resources.

  • Interface with clients on technical and business issues from project initiation through delivery.

  • Develop and maintain program/project schedules, including status reporting.

  • Create, review, and analyze functional specifications to guide product implementation decisions.

  • Provide technical and analytical support to Product Managers and other stakeholders.

  • Organize and coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

  • Ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).

  • Proven experience in building electronic hardware with a mechanical engineering background.

  • Strong program management skills, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating complex projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop project timelines, resource plans, and status reporting.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Experience interfacing with clients and cross-functional teams in a technical capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the tech industry with hardware product development.

  • Previous involvement in managing controller or embedded systems programs.

  • Familiarity with multi-functional engineering teams and collaborative project delivery.

  • Experience in preparing and reviewing functional specifications for hardware products.

Salary Range 

Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $108,000- $118,000 USD annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
