Program Manager

We are building a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and we need a passionate, technically minded leader to drive the growth and maturity of our Content Library Program, enabling best-practice sharing across the organization.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full content lifecycle—from conceptualisation to post-publication success metrics.

  • Engage with technical subject matter experts (SMEs) and the Manulife University team to ensure high-quality, engaging, and impactful technical content.

  • Foster a strong community of practice around knowledge sharing.

Leadership & Strategic Alignment

  • Provide direction and coaching to a distributed team of content development specialists.

  • Partner with the Director to shape platform vision and roadmap.

  • Drive scalability and development of the Program framework through structured processes and industry guidelines.

  • Lead global backlog prioritization and partner engagement.

Content Lifecycle Management

  • Lead all aspects of end-to-end operations of the Content Library, including curation, knowledge checks, multilingual support and success metrics.

  • Maintain process documentation for internal and external audiences.

  • Ensure content quality, consistency, and alignment with Manulife University standards.

  • Manage post-publication activities such as feedback collection, content refresh cycles, and performance reporting.

Change Enablement & Communication

  • Develop and implement communication strategies to support change initiatives.

  • Champion adoption of new processes and tools across global teams.

Content Development

  • Design and produce engaging, high-quality technical learning experiences using approved tools (PowerPoint, Articulate360, Synthesia, Edcast, Clipchamp, MS Forms).

  • Translate technical concepts into accessible, learner-friendly formats.

  • Coach and mentor content creators on instructional design, storytelling, and tool proficiency.

Collaboration & Partnerships

  • Work closely with Technology teams and business partners to align learning strategies with organizational goals.

  • Build and sustain key learning partnerships alongside the Director.

  • Facilitate seamless collaboration between content creators and platform teams.

  • Support onboarding and continuous development of team members.

Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and enhance content frameworks and user experience.

  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing across technical teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5–10 years of related content development and instructional design with hands-on practitioner expertise.

  • Proven experience in technical content creation and a passion for learning and teaching.

  • Strong storytelling, instructional design, or technical writing skills.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to diverse audiences.

  • Experience with Synthesia, Confluence, and Articulate (strong asset).

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high degree of autonomy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering or software delivery experience

  • Experience in developer advocacy, technical education, or enablement roles.

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern software development practices.

Working Arrangement

Hybrid

Salary range is expected to be between

$94,220.00 CAD - $174,980.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
