Who Are We?

The Cloud Customer Capacity (CCC) planning team works on Customer Demand Planning (CDP) Cloud Platform. We provide the resources and capacity that run our customers computer products, capturing customer’s resource demands and delivering consumable resources (cores, servers, disks etc) to scale up their compute services and infrastructure. We grant these resources across many different products, customers, and geographic locations, managing ever shifting availability. We work closely with our Cloud Sales and Customer Supply Planning (CSP) teams to ensure current and future supply matches customer growth needs. CDP will: 1. Receive the initial demand request from the customer or Sales team
2. Grant what is reasonable based on availability, and input from collaborative teams (where applicable)
3. Route long term signals to the Supply team while planning for future customer needs

This role requires attention to detail in the following areas:

  • Conduct triaging of GCP capacity quota increase requests to enable all customers to scale their GCP workloads. 

  • Resolve outstanding quota/capacity requests, with support from partner teams as needed, in alignment with Service Level Objectives (SLOs).

  • Identify, document, and contribute towards improving the efficiency of the triaging & scraping processes for quota requests.

  • Resolve GCP capacity support escalations in coordination with front-line Support teams.

  • Process feedback from account teams to ensure the Large Deals opportunity engagement  is current across all systems.

  • Process new requests for no capacity plan exceptions and ensure exception reporting accuracy. 

  • Prepare weekly performance metrics for review.

  • Support customer quota requests across key events including Black-Friday Cyber Monday, new product launches and other large customer events.

  • Handle ad-hoc tasks, where applicable, for operational throughput and towards the overall program & service offerings.

  • Contribute to a regional handover process and set reminders for weekly team tasks.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 5 to 8 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience working in Cloud-Computing environments and with Cloud technologies.

  • Project / Program Management experience. Experience working with project management teams, resolving conflict, and meeting schedule timelines.

  • Strong observational and analytical skills, including: ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information, strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to track and report metrics, and manage risks.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects and assignments concurrently.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, documentation), as well as the ability to work with globally distributed and cross-functional teams.

  • Self-starter who is able to quickly learn new tools and gain familiarity with new processes and technologies with minimal assistance.

  • In-depth experience creating spreadsheets, presentation material, and project/process documentation.

  • Familiarity with various project management methodologies. 

  • Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and communicate project updates to client executives.

Preferred Skills:

  • Demand / Supply Planning of Cloud resources.

  • SQL Scripting & Dash-boarding skills.
