As Program Manager II/Registrar, you will oversee and advance multiple projects, guiding assignments through each phase of delivery while implementing improvement initiatives, identifying issues, and resolving problems as they arise. In this role, you will assist with the management and oversight of a centralized student registration system to ensure compliance with the requirements of ABHES, the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools, the U.S. Department of Education, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as they relate to student registration, enrollment, documentation of academic progress, and management of graduate certification.

This position ensures the organization meets obligations for education verification for students seeking employment, certification, or further academic pursuits, including those who completed programs in prior years. It also offers a highly rewarding opportunity with growth-oriented projects, mentorship, support, and extensive professional development resources.

A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. -- 4:30 p.m. and is expected to be on-site at Main Campus one to five times per month.

Caregivers must be available to work on site at Main Campus as needed as well as travel to the five Separate Education Centers for the School of Health Professions (Mercy Hospital, Akron General, Lutheran Hospital, CCAC, University of Akron Wayne College).

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Oversee three main areas: Credentialing & Compliance, Visiting Trainee Process, and Financials (including CMS reimbursement), developing systems and strategies to effectively manage these functions.

  • Develop, implement, manage and maintain operational systems and activities.

  • Serve as a liaison with all levels of the organization and outside community.

  • Manage multiple priorities and projects with competing deadlines.

  • Allocate time to meet completion requirements.

  • Serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

  • Review and monitor adherence to Human Resources policies and corporate compliance procedures.

  • Manage and oversee the school’s centralized student registration system to ensure compliance with institutional accreditation, Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools, the U.S. Department of Education, and the Veteran’s Administration.

  • Ensure accurate processes for student registration, enrollment, and maintenance of academic and administrative records.

  • Complete education verifications for graduates seeking employment, certification, or further education — including requests received after program completion.

  • Lead student recruitment, application processing, and enrollment activities.

  • Maintain accurate student record information and ensure proper documentation of academic progress.

  • Oversee graduate certification processes.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field and three years of experience in project management, data analysis and systems training

  • OR Associate’s Degree and five years of experience

  • OR Master’s Degree and two years of experience

  • Demonstrated teamwork, leadership, organizational, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Data analysis experience in a healthcare setting

  • Experience as a Registrar at an academic institution

  • Expert on Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

  • Experience working in a student information system

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods

  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information

  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
