Major Duties:

  • You will participate in studies of design, production, test and evaluation, and supply chain management to ensure the specifications economically balance SWS requirements and performance while meeting operational requirements and budgets.
  • You will predict the total ownership costs and life cycle support of proposed system upgrades.
  • You will conduct studies pertaining to the producibility and long-range support of existing components and proposed upgrades.
  • You will prepare and direct efforts to determine the requirements and technical specifications necessary to produce and qualify major upgrades/alterations to strategic weapons systems (SWS).
  • You will develop, analyze, develop, prioritize and defend budgets associated with assigned areas of responsibility.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing or overseeing lifecycle planning and management programs; conducting complex technical reviews; and directing efforts that determine technical/operational specifications for naval ship systems.
