Job Summary: This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA Business System Portfolio Management Office.

Major Duties:

  • Serves as a Program Manager and Senior Acquisition Planner for an ACAT level program, who leads, coordinates, communicates, integrates and is accountable for the overall success of the program, ensuring alignment with critical agency priorities.
  • Provides authoritative advice and assistance to project personnel during the initial planning phases to ensure proper consideration of management factors as well as technical factors involved in successful projects.
  • Develops and implements tracking systems and performs periodic reviews to measure progress in terms of milestones and resource utilization.
  • Performs project management, contract management, and management oversight on contracts that cover implementation and installation of complex systems, support services, and hardware procurement.
  • Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the DoD Acquisition System, the DoD Program, Planning, Budgeting and Execution Systems (PPBES), JCIDS and Government contracting laws and policies.
