Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling — keeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition. Founded in 2019, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have.

Program Manager, Commercial Operations

This role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, operations, and systems — helping scale Redwood’s battery materials procurement + energy storage (BESS) business and related commercial processes.

The Program Manager will lead cross-functional initiatives that streamline operations, improve data and systems connectivity, and enhance service for our customers and partners. This is an individual contributor role with broad exposure across BD, IT, Operations, and Finance.

Responsibilities will Include:

  • Lead cross-functional projects to scale and optimize commercial systems supporting battery energy storage deals, battery materials procurement, and sales operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement of end-to-end processes spanning opportunity management, contracting, order fulfillment, and invoicing.
  • Partner with IT and Operations to develop scalable processes and system enhancements across CRM, ERP, and Redwood-built software to enable customer success.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, business requirements, and standard operating procedures as it relates to commercial systems.
  • Collaborate with IT, Operations, and Finance teams to identify bottlenecks and deliver scalable solutions that enable business growth.
  • Support change management, training, and rollout of new tools and workflows across teams.
  • Ensure alignment between commercial priorities and operational capabilities as Redwood’s business scales.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in program or project management, business operations, or systems-related roles.
  • Experience in energy storage, battery materials, or clean energy industries preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems; experience with system implementation or integration is a plus.
  • Independent, motivated, and comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment.
  • Passion for sustainability and advancing the clean energy transition.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform essential job functions in compliance with ADA, FMLA, and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including meeting both qualitative and quantitative productivity standards
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance in line with ADA, FMLA, and applicable standards
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety gloves, helmets, and eyewear, or additional PPE when required
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively on the telephone, including listening and speaking

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
