Salary Range: $150144 - $195190 Per Year

Job Summary: You will serve as a Program Manager (Chief of Staff) with an assigned duty location at Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY).

Major Duties:

  • You will provide oversight to Senior Leadership staff of the assigned Shipyard.
  • You will review, establish, and advise the Shipyard Commander on policy and decisions that impact direction and focus of the Shipyard.
  • You will aid the Shipyard Commander by advising, coordinating and supporting senior leadership in meeting the demands and oversees those Department Directors to ensure program objectives are met.
  • You will be expected to deal effectively with personnel and officials at all levels.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Demonstrating a Mastery of knowledge of management and leadership, leadership development, and leadership principles and practices. Utilizing expert knowledge in which to design and implement business strategies, plans and procedure and establish policies that promote the goals of the Shipyard. Providing expert skill in the visualization and direction of complex processes and procedures to facilitate communication of concepts, programs, projects and systems to Senior Leadership paired with expert presentation, persuasion and team building skills. Applying extensive knowledge in the application of a wide range of qualitative, quantitative, analytical, evaluative methods and techniques for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness of complex project planning. Planning, organizing and controlling work of large organization components through exemplary time management skills. Utilizing data analysis and performance/operation metrics, to include skill in IT/Business infrastructure and MS dynamics. Resolving problems and issues between departments and a wide variety of officials external to the shipyard to include Federal, State and Local Officials on matters of mutual interest.
