Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for Program Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Bossier City, LA.

Primary interface between Northrop Grumman and Global Strike Command and other organizations at Barksdale AFB La.  An understanding of US Government acquisition, budgeting and requirements processes is essential.  Equally important is a thorough understanding of Global Strike Command's role as Air Force lead to develop and provide combat-ready forces for deterrence and global strike operations in support of national security objectives.  Maintains a continual liaison with all appropriate levels with the external and internal customer.  The individual will assist the business areas as required with external customer priorities, initiatives and challenges.  Arrange meetings/interactions both formal and informal between the appropriate level of customers to support the correct information exchange to win new business and keep our existing business sold.  They will serve on capture, color and strategy teams to assist the business areas successfully achieve business objectives and priorities. Travel as necessary to other government/Northrop facilities to maintain customer contact and consistent messaging.  Also, travel as necessary to support relevant training and business development activities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and 10 years of related experience as defined below OR a Masters degree and 8 years of related experience as defined below

    • OR Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years of related experience as defined below

    • OR Master of Science in STEM and 7 years of related experience as defined below

  • Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, and operations

  • Prior Project and/or Program Management experience
  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • The ability to obtain/maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
  • Experience in low observability tactics and technology, military strategy, and employment of low observable aircraft

Preferred Qualifications

  • Special Program Access Clearance
  • 20 years’ Air Force experience
  • Detailed understanding of Air Force Global Strike Command's mission, responsibilities and processes
  • Thorough knowledge of DoD military structure, plans, policies, strategies and budgeting process and programming for Deterrence Systems
  • Working knowledge of weapons; current and future requirements
  • Prior B-2A Operations and or Maintenance experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $158,000.00 - $237,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
