Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Program Management Leader (Level K) to join VC-25B Program Management team in San Antonio, TX!

This role will act as the Chief of Staff and will serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the Vice President of Program Management (VPPM), enabling effective leadership and execution of the VC-25B program. This role is critical in driving operational excellence, aligning cross-functional teams, and ensuring the VPPM’s priorities and initiatives are executed efficiently across the organization.

Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key liaison between the VPPM and internal/external stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration across multiple departments and teams.
  • Support the VPPM in strategic planning, program execution, and decision-making processes.
  • Partner with Executive Assistant to Manage and prioritize the VPPM’s schedule, meetings, and communications to optimize time and focus on high-impact activities.
  • Develop and maintain program governance frameworks, ensuring clear policies, procedures, and decision-making structures are in place to support program objectives and compliance.
  • Create and manage the program operating rhythm to ensure consistent communication, alignment, and progress tracking across the program.
  • Develop program metrics and dashboards; proactively analyze and report when metrics indicate potential issues or risks.
  • Drive follow-up actions on key initiatives and issues, ensuring accountability and timely resolution.
  • Lead all customer and Boeing senior management visits, including creating presentations, identifying key topics, and managing logistics to ensure successful engagements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Leadership Team (LT), fostering collaboration and alignment across the program.
  • Develop and maintain the program’s (environment and culture) in partnership with the Leadership Team to support a positive and productive work environment.
  • Build charts, presentations, and other communication materials about the program in partnership with the Leadership Team, tailoring content to the audience’s needs and expectations.
  • Lead and manage the Program Facilities team, ensuring the physical work environment supports program goals and team productivity.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership, understanding the audience and context to develop effective, impactful presentations and communications.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience working on mid to large complex programs; ideally within defense and/or aerospace
  • 3+ years of experience with any of the following: Project/Program Management, Procurement, Supplier Program Management, Engineering, Production Engineering, and/or Supplier Quality
  • 3+ years of experience collaborating with Senior level executives and/or project management and/or complex operations
  • Ability to analyze data, summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience and/or the ability to work with sensitive information, safeguarding confidential information
  • Experience with business problem identification, data collection and preparation, interpretation and problem solving

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Familiarity with aerospace program management processes and terminology.
  • Experience with Lean, Agile, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills with the ability to tailor communications and presentations to diverse leadership audiences
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for $145,350 - $196,650
