Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated candidate to serve as the Project Engineer for Coyote Block 2 Product Line IOC efforts. This role will be matrixed to the Coyote portfolio from the Product Support Program Management Office. You will provide engineering input to the product leadership team, the program office, assigned integrated product teams, and cross product teams, as well as assist with technical coordination between functional groups, such as the Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Test teams. You will be responsible for the integration, coordination & control, and direct engagement with the program team and functional partners, in pursuit of day-to-day program execution; advocating Program Management (PM) plans, processes, and business objectives; and the implementation of IOC best practices. Primary focus being on the product development and preparation for Initial Operational Capability.

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate test integration activities between functional area groups, provide hands on expertise to assist Field Engineering staff during test events, and provide technical interface with customer representatives at demonstrations, test events, and deployment set ups.

  • Work with the engineering team to address product updates across affected groups, such as Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations while addressing lessons learned from the Field Engineering teams embedded with deployed hardware.

  • Prepare, revise, update and monitor required documentation and analysis in compliance with contract requirements and Raytheon’s Integrated Product Development System (IPDS), such as gate reviews and the GEM tool, the program earned value management system (EVMS), and both corporate- and business-level policies and procedures.

  • Develop program-enhancing partnerships with internal functional organizations (typically organized into integrated product teams (IPTs) and/or cross product teams (CPTs)) including but not limited to Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Procurement/Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations, Quality Management, Logistics, Data Management (CDRL support), and administrative functions

  • Support the program risk and opportunity process, in accordance with specific financial goals and obligations

  • Support daily program management and cadence such as risk review boards, customer reviews, IPT/CPT reviews, failure review boards, program management reviews (PMRs), staffing reviews, and decision reviews to achieve contract commitments

  • Capture and track program action items and works with action owners to ensure timely satisfactorily closure of actions

  • Identify and implement key program assessments and metrics to lead development of situational awareness charts and performance assessments that enable program success drivers by program leadership teams

  • Expected to support with domestic travel as needed for test events and customer meetings

Qualifications You Must Have  

  • Typically requires a A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field.

  • Experience with Systems Integration and Test processes and documentation to include preparation of test plans and test procedures, support of Test Readiness Reviews, data analysis, and post-test reporting.

  • Experience organizing cross-functional teams to include, but not limited to, any combination of the following: Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Procurement/Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations, Quality Management, Logistics, Data Management (CDRL support) and/or administrative functions

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably in Systems Engineering or Electrical Engineering)

  • Experience developing and reviewing cost proposals and synthesizing Submittal Gate (Gate 4) and Start-up Gate (Gate 5 IPDS) packages for management review and approval

  • Prior experience supporting development, production, and/or sustainment programs, preferably in the aerospace and defense industry

  • Working knowledge of contract formation, execution, management, and/or closeout

  • Proficiency with PMX tool suite or similar program management systems

  • Experience with the COYOTE family of products

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
