The Program Financial Analyst II is responsible for managing more complex aspects of project data to support internal and external project reporting. This role involves preparing and analyzing budgets, schedules, and cost proposals, as well as performing detailed cost variance analysis to ensure accurate financial forecasting and contract management.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and control complex project data for internal and external project reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze budgets, schedules, and cost proposals for contract work.
  • Conduct detailed "what-if" cost analysis, program cost forecasts, and cost variance analysis.
  • Monitor and report on outstanding work against each contract to maintain accurate cost and schedule baselines.
  • Develop and maintain advanced financial models and reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Prepare and deliver financial presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, project control, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of related experience is required.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Ability to effectively and clearly communicate program and financial related information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Advanced proficiency with financial software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Knowledge of government contracting and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) regulations.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Strong hand/finger dexterity for computer tasks.
  • Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 20 pounds.
  • May require occasional travel for training or meetings.
