Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Program Director 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC). The Program Director is a key leadership position within the ATDC management framework. This leadership role is located in Palmdale, California.
ATDC requires a motivated and adaptable individual to support our leadership team as the Program Execution Director. The selected individual will lead a highly technical and complex program. Proven program leadership on complex programs is a vital prerequisite, as this role is also responsible for driving programmatic and financial execution of a broadly dispersed enterprise. This role is responsible for a robust execution team that is accountable for driving the system Integration of all program elements and is directly accountable to the VP Program Manager on strategic matters of execution. The Program Execution Director position also demands customer intimacy and clear communication in a dynamic and challenging environment. This role will be responsible for integrating all processes, tools and systems across the program to ensure operational effectiveness of the program.
Key functions of the selected candidates will be as follows:
Act in partnership with the ATDC Program and Deputy Program Manager to set the policy, vision, and strategy of the program.
Ensure overall budgets, schedules, and performance standards are met.
Responsible for successful program operations and program activities of major significance.
Represents the program as a prime internal and external contact on various program matters.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Direct all aspects associated with planning, implementation, and execution of the Program to satisfy the program key objectives.
Provide leadership of a multidisciplinary team to accomplish the SOW tasks within the program schedule and budget constraints.
Provide program level management and direction to ensure effective implementation and execution of the Integrated Management Framework across the enterprise including the sector processes for Manage Program, Manage Requirements, Manage Risk, Define Program, Integrate Plans and Schedules, Manage Change, and Manage Program Performance and Health.
Ensure baseline integrity, performance and health of the Enterprise by providing analysis to ensure vertical and horizontal integration.
Establish Program long range and annual strategies, objectives, and plans for indirect, unallowable and allocation budgets.
Manage program level customer interface to ensure customer satisfaction. through award fee, USG assessments, program management reviews, or other mutually approved metrics.
Establish requirements and execute plans for information technology, facilities, staffing, security, and the integrated data environment.
Direct and control the execution of program level reviews and ensure the documentation, integration, and closure of action items.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of related experience as defined below, OR a Master’s degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of related experience as defined below:
Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions.
3 years of formal Leadership Experience in a People Leadership Manager Role.
Must have an active U.S. Government Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Top-Secret Clearance.
At least 15 years of relevant leadership experience, including Program Management.
Profit and Loss Experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication, plus strong leadership skills.
Master’s Degree.
Previous Aerospace Industry experience.
Experience managing a team of over 100 people.
Current Special Program Access (SAP).
