Job Description Summary:

SMC Program Coordinator is a resourceful, detail-oriented, energetic and customer centric role with a genuine interest in people and community.
Daily activities will span a variety of tasks including customer outreach, inter-department communications, document verification and routing, attending a multitude of in-field appointments, spreadsheet information management and assisting customers with problem resolutions. This position is a liaison between contractors, construction manager/inspectors, and participating homeowners before, during, and after construction

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, implementing, coordinating and managing various phases of a complex, highly visible, residential construction project.
    • Interpret and apply complex rules, regulations, laws and ordinances, exercise sound independent judgment within general policy guidelines.
  • Interact effectively to problem-solve and partner with internal and outside agencies, consultants, and contractors.  Exercise diplomacy, tact and neutrality in dealing with highly sensitive, complex, confidential and sometimes controversial homeowner relations issues and situations.
    • Communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, with interested parties and stakeholders.
  • Prepare, edit and finalize accurate and detailed written material, including staff and administrative reports.
  • Assist on all aspects of assigned tasks within the project, regardless of size or importance of those tasks

Minimum Skills & Experience

  • Basic construction terms and language.
  • Conflict resolution methods and techniques.
  • Principles and practices of effective verbal communication, telephonic and personal, in large groups and individually, with homeowners, contractors, consultants, and outside agencies.
  • Principles and practices of team leadership and cooperative business practices.
  • Ability to exercise sound, independent judgment and initiative within established guidelines
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and critical tasks
  • Must be able to complete 10 year Airport Authority background check for badging
