The Program Coordinator I, under general supervision, coordinates the planning, development and implementation of assigned programming activities and administrative functions for the Office of Military Affairs.
Salary: $40,000
Research, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate program events in support of military connected students such as ceremonies, seminars, lectures, meetings, and workshops.
Serve as a social media content creator for the OMA social media sites and coordinate the communication of marketing activities for events, important dates, and office activities with institutional marketing representatives.
Produce and distribute program materials.
Coordinate with internal and external partners for marketing and communication activities.
Build and maintain relationships with veteran service organizations and respond to community stakeholders’ inquiries.
Partner with on and off campus stakeholders to provide a wide array of services to military connected students.
Develops assessment strategies and maintain tracking or reporting systems to monitor program participation and progress as well as results.
Assist in maintaining and updating the OMA University Website.
Conduct purchasing in support of the Office of Military Affairs (OMA) operations, events, and activities as well as arrange travel.
Will assist in preparation and monitoring of budgets for the office of Military Affairs operations, programs, and events.
Maintains an in-depth knowledge of university policies and structure as well as federal and state veteran affairs education benefits and DOD tuition assistance.
Interacts and responds to military affiliated student inquiries to resolve issues related to OMA operations.
May assist in the development of presentations of OMA information to the community, faculty, and staff as well as update training materials and deliver training sessions.
Maintains program and student records and databases.
Provide administrative support to the Director of Military Affairs.
May supervise student worker program staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two (2) years of related experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Two years of program administration experience.
Experience working with military connected populations.
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Developing and presenting information to a wide variety of audiences.
Programming implementation and assessment.
Working knowledge of GI Bill and Hazelwood education benefits.
