Job Description:
The Center for Global Health Equity (CGHE) is dedicated to developing innovative and actionable solutions that address the global causes of health inequity through collaborative research, equitable partnerships, community ownership of health initiatives, and a commitment to ethical global health practices. CGHE supports and coordinates training, research, and service activities to reduce disparities in disease burden and to improve treatment outcomes both domestically and internationally.
The Program Coordinator for the Center for Global Health Equity (CGHE) provides high-level management of CGHE programs and initiatives. This position is responsible for an assigned portfolio of programs, including the Civil-Military Humanitarian Coordination Program, Ukraine Collaboration, and the Paul J. Galkin Global Health Grand Rounds Lecture Series, as well as facilitating financial and administrative operations across CGHE. The Program Coordinator plans and implements high-profile programs and events, including research symposia and conferences with international speakers and attendees, while developing innovative promotional strategies across digital and print platforms. The Program Coordinator also creates and disseminates Center communications, such as newsletters, website content, annual reports, and social media outreach.
The position manages administrative workflows for programs and provides complex international travel coordination. The Program Coordinator oversees partner relationships and provides advising and support to international trainees. This position also supervises 2 student assistants.
This is a fixed-term position with a current end date of one year from hire, which may be extended based on available funding.
Job Qualifications
Education and Experience
● Required: Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred
● Required: 2-5 years of related experience
● And/or the equivalent combination of education and experience
● Strong administrative, organizational and time management skills are required.
● Experience working with financial and budget information, including the ability to analyze and reconcile accounts, is highly desired.
● Prior experience with grant coordination and submissions is highly desired.
● Prior international program management and coordination experience is highly preferred.
● Demonstrated interest in global health and health equity is highly desired.

● Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure, environment.
● Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) to elicit and disperse information; to present information (including data) and communications clearly and concisely.
● Strong organizational, administrative, time management, and critical thinking skills.
● Demonstrated strong organizational and written communication skills, an excellent command of English language and grammar, and strong proofreading skills.
● Computer proficiency and continued interest in maintaining skills and overall proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Mailchimp, Adobe Express, Drupal, and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Gmail, internet research, and site creation).
● Ability and willingness to quickly learn new programs and systems.
● Basic accounting skills.
● Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of people with confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
● Willingness and ability to work occasional evenings, early mornings, and/or weekends for special program events.
● Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with a diverse population of administrators, students, and faculty.
