Job Summary: This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity, Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for providing direct customer service via telephone and electronic correspondence, including responding to complex inquiries, resolving issues, and processing requests related to voting assistance or government services.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: You may qualify at the GS 07-T11 , if you fulfill the following qualifications: For GS-07: One year of specialized experience at the GS-05 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Specialized experience includes: Assisting with customer inquiries. Review voting-related problems for domestic stakeholders. Assist in entering case data to track transactions, staff utilization, and trends. Provide voting assistance, and material distribution. Possess 4 years above high school. For GS-09: One year of specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Specialized experience includes: Providing direct customer service via telephone and electronic correspondence. Assist an Ombudsman (voting assistance center representative) in resolving voting-related problems for domestic stakeholders. Assist in entering case data to track transactions, staff utilization, and trends. Provide voting assistance, and material distribution. Analyzing election-related information, including reviewing state-specific voting laws and procedures, and communicating program guidance clearly to internal audiences. For GS-11: One year of specialized experience at the GS-09 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Specialized experience includes: Providing direct customer service via telephone and electronic correspondence, including responding to complex inquiries, resolving issues, and processing requests related to voting assistance or government services. Serving as a liaison or ombudsman, conducting research and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to resolve voting-related regulatory issues. Entering, managing, and analyzing case data in a tracking or case management system to monitor service trends, document issue resolution, and support program reporting. Coordinating with interagency partners on program implementation, logistical support, and compliance with voting-related legislation such as Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) or Nation Voter Registration Act (NVRA). Analyzing election-related information, including reviewing and interpreting state-specific voting laws and procedures, and communicating program guidance clearly to internal and external audiences. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
