Job Summary: The North Florida/South Georgia Healthcare System (NF/SG VHS), Community Care Service is recruiting for a Program Analyst. The purpose of the position is to improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of health care by integrating information and data technologies into clinical care; support the data needs of health services, clinical staff, improve and automate data tracking, extraction, and aggregation required of the NF/SG VAMC.

Major Duties:

  • Major duties include but not limited to: Provides executive support to collecting, managing, analyzing, and distributing Community Care data and information as part of the continuous performance improvement efforts in the service. Work across many service lines to complete projects. Developing procedures that ensure the integrity of the data for each project. Extracts, and supplies feedback related to databases being used by the principal investigator and or evaluation staff. Participates in collaborative evaluation/research activities including discussions with clinicians and non-clinician researchers to establish data collection and aggregation aims. Provides clinical and financial decision information that enables managers to improve the tracking of supplies and services provided and their costs. Experiences working with Power BI, CDW, SQL, and BISL Follow-up/maintenance spreadsheets(e.g. follow-up on proficiencies, licensure, special pay, quality, inspection/monitoring, etc.)for Staff suspense dates for tracking and assurance of notification. Runs Bi-weekly and as needed dashboard reports for calculation and finalization of amenabilities. This dashboard includes all financial demographics such as ADC, ADT, OT, Cost, Turnover rates, Vacancies, Leave, Incentive Data, and Productivity reports. This dashboard is used for Executive Leadership to understand where nursing resources are being used. Produce reports for annual management briefings and budget hearings meetings; prepares spreadsheets, capturing essential clinical or other administrative trended information for leadership. Research, collect compile,& generate reports of all indirect skin disorders & conditions for Annual & ad hoc reports to VISN & executive leadership. Follow-up/maintenance spreadsheets(e.g. follow-up on proficiencies, licensure, special pay, quality, inspection/monitoring, etc.)for Staff suspense dates for tracking and assurance of notification. Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Qualifications: To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 03/25/2026. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09 The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. Physical Requirements: Physical demands include above average ability, dexterity, and strength to perform the work. There will be walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, carrying of items, driving of an automobile, etc. May be required to sit or stand for the majority of a normal tour of duty. Will lift and move equipment up to 20 pounds and will reach above shoulder level for technology installation or in assistance with technology installation. Fieldwork may involve travel for training activities, attendance at meetings and conferences.
