What We Want
The purpose of this position is to oversee the production of demonstration videos on topics related to English learners and their teachers. In addition, the aide will review the final product (demonstration video) to ensure technical quality and content accuracy.

Salary: This is an hourly paid position.
Other Requirements and Factors:
This is a wage position established to accommodate a temporary organizational need. As such, TAMU does not guarantee any set number of hours or length of employment in this role.
This position may direct and/or evaluate the work of others.
This position is funded from grant and/or contract funding. Therefore, this position is contingent upon continuation satisfactory job performance.
Essential Duties/Tasks
Supervision of Video Production
Determines assigns schedules for creating videos
Oversee the demonstration video production and reviews all demonstration videos
Ensure that staff are afforded the opportunity to develop and grow
Promotes an environment that is respectful of others and promotes honest feedback and coaching of students creating videos
Ensures that students creating the videos are properly trained to be successful
Evaluates the quality of the videos: clarity, conciseness, technical quality, platform suitability of the video, and effectiveness of purpose/goal of the demonstration
May list other duties or leave blank including but not limited to review of grant proposals.
Production, Review, Revisions
Assists the Center director in developing and implementing strategies to organize the production of video
Prepare the website where the videos will be stored and viewed
Consults with the IT Department to create a security plan for the videos.
Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of data, services, and demonstration videos
Budget Management
Monitor expenditures and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
PhD in Educational Psychology/Bilingual-ESL
Any experience creating, editing, reviewing content, and producing educational videos.
Any experience in coaching technical quality of video and feedback on scripts.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as an English Second Language Teacher
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
Ability to positively and professionally interact with students/teachers creating demonstration videos.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Working knowledge of office software, instructional programs, and video production
Knowledge of principles and methods for teaching and instructing individuals and groups
Skilled in utilizing various learning and active listening strategies
Ability to orally comprehend and express information and use inductive and deductive reasoning
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
Physical Requirements
Ability to move light, medium or heavy objects with assistance.
Some lifting/carrying of classroom/presentation materials (specify weight limitations specific to program needs i.e. ability to lift, carry, load or unload up to 20 lbs. of instructional materials)
