What we want

The Program Aide, in the Department of Health Behavior at Texas A&M University, will assist the data analysis, systematic review project manuscript development, and development, review, and implementation of collaborative care model based chronic disease intervention program among patients with severe mental illness. This is a temporary/casual, non-benefits eligible position.

What you need to know

Salary/Schedule: $25/hour--Part Time

Location: College Station, TX

Required education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Psychology or a closely related field

  • Minimum of one year of experience in conducting systematic review project and manuscript development.

  • Experience in coordinating programs or supporting projects in data analysis, and intervention program development and implementation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Epidemiology or Health Behavior

  • Manuscript development and publication experience in the public health field

  • Knowledge in epidemiology and systematic review

  • Ability to work cooperatively with others

  • Strong computer and data analysis skills using STATA, SPSS or other statistical software

  • Ability to design and deliver programs for audiences

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and conduct systematic review projects using COVIDENCE software to provide suggestions to develop innovative intervention programs among vulnerable populations.

  • Conduct quantitative data analysis using national and state-level datasets and manuscript development in public health related topics

  • Review content of collaborative care model based chronic disease intervention and revise the activities curriculum

  • Help pilot and implement intervention activities
