What we want

The Program Aide will assist in development of data structures, software development, and interoperability of two electronic medical records and a research data warehouse/data lake. This will be accomplished by facilitating interaction between an electronic medical records partner, a blockchain data management partner (BurstIQ), and TAMU IT and clinical research professionals. This is a wage position established to accommodate a temporary organizational need. As such, TAMU does not guarantee any set number of hours or length of employment in this role.

Required Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in computer science or relevant disciplines or equivalent combination of education and experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in development of data structures, software development, and interoperability of two electronic medical records and a research data warehouse/data lake.

  • Experience in facilitating interaction between an electronic medical records partner, a blockchain data management partner (BurstIQ), and TAMU IT and clinical research professionals.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

Precision Medicine & Medical Informatics

  • Builds or customizes the front-end user app(s) to meet use case

  • Deliver a high-quality, complete front-end application

  • Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code

  • Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting

  • Review and debug code

  • Perform validation and verification testing

  • Ensure high performance on mobile and desktop

  • Write tested, idiomatic, and documented JavaScript, HTML and CSS

  • Coordinate the workflow between the graphic designer, the HTML coder, and yourself

  • Cooperate with the back-end developer in the process of building the RESTful API

  • Communicate with external web services

  • Conduct research and usability testing to gather insights into user needs and pain points.

  • Collect and analyze feedback from users to improve designs.

  • Create presentations and documentation to communicate design decisions.
