The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, in conjunction with the Norton Children’s Medical Group has an opening for a Pediatric Ophthalmologist (full-time 1.0 FTE). The department is located in the Kentucky Lions Eye Center, which houses the academic, adult patient clinical and research offices of the faculty. The pediatric eye clinic is located in the Novak Center, which houses the clinical offices of all pediatric subspecialties. Both are located on the campus of the University of Louisville Health Sciences Center which contains the School of Medicine and four major hospitals – UofL Health - University Hospital and Jewish Hospital, Norton Hospital and Norton Children’s Hospital.
Applicants must have graduated from an accredited ophthalmology residency program, be Board eligible/certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology or a Board deemed equivalent, and be eligible for licensure in the state of Kentucky. The successful candidate should be fellowship-trained in Pediatric Ophthalmology, and is expected to have a strong commitment to clinical care and teaching in an academic setting.
