Job Description:

The Louisiana State University School of Music invites applications for a non-tenure track position, Professional-in-Residence Collaborative Pianist, with appointment to begin in Fall 2026. We seek artist-performers to serve as collaborative pianist for the recital, audition, and jury needs of a comprehensive school of music. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Rehearse and perform as collaborative pianist for roughly 15 recitals (faculty, guest artists, DMA students) per semester as well as juries, qualifying exams, and voice auditions.
  • Other events as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education Level: Master of Music
  • Specific Degree: A master's in piano performance or collaborative piano 
  • Degree Substitute: Equivalent professional experience
  • Specific Experience: Distinguished record as an active performer

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education Level: DMA
  • Specific Degree: A doctorate in piano performance or collaborative piano
  • Specific Experience: Experience and expertise in vocal coaching
