Job Description
The Professional Development Manager is responsible for designing and managing the organization’s professional development strategy within the training learning management system, ensuring high-quality learning content supports school employee growth and performance, as well as, designing and supporting live learning opportunities. This role assesses organizational learning needs, develops impactful professional learning experiences, and collaborates with leaders and subject matter experts to align training initiatives with organizational priorities and strategic goals while fostering a culture of continuous learning.

· Design, develop, and manage professional development programs that support organizational priorities, including compliance learning, instructional pedagogy, and
· Collaborate with leaders, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to align learning initiatives with business goals and ensure content is relevant, scalable, and impactful.
· Conduct learning needs assessments using surveys, interviews, and performance data to identify skill gaps and inform professional development priorities.
· Develop and deliver learning experiences using a variety of modalities, including e-learning, webinars, workshops, and blended learning models.
· Integrate innovative learning technologies and instructional strategies to increase engagement, accessibility, and knowledge retention.
· Monitor, analyze, and report on learning metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and inform continuous improvement.
· Serve as the business manager for key learning and development initiatives, overseeing planning, coordination, resource alignment, timelines, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful implementation.
· Stay current on emerging trends, tools, and best practices in learning and development, and incorporate insights to strengthen organizational learning strategies.
· Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in professional development and adult learning and development.
· Incorporate feedback and data to continuously refine and improve L&D initiatives.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 3-5 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· 5+ years of experience in learning and development, organizational development, or a related field
· Strong communication skills
· Proven experience in designing and delivering successful training programs.
· Excellent project management and organizational skills.
· Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
· Ability to travel 10% of the time
· Ability to clear required background check
· Etc.
Certificates and Licenses:
· Bachelor's degree in education or organizational development, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree in education or organizational development, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
· Knowledge of adult learning principles, talent development frameworks, and change management strategies.
· 3+ years management experience
· Familiarity with tools such as DomniKnow, Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or similar e-learning software.

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
We anticipate the salary range to be $52,439,25 to $81,000.00. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
