This is a hybrid position that requires regular in-office work. Candidates must reside in the greater Vancouver-Portland metropolitan area.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Professional Development Manager (PDM) is responsible for conducting, scheduling, creating, coordinating, and implementing various training and coaching activities for members. The PDM will conduct virtual, on-site, and off-site training sessions to facilitate the implementation of the Patients for Life® (PFL) programs with the goal of instilling sound customer service and training fundamentals, as well as implementing professional development plans aimed at helping the members achieve transformational growth.

A majority of this role is presenting and coaching on the established PFL program, while tailoring the message to ensure members understand the value and impact of our programs. Nearly 40+ hours each month will be conducted in virtual or live training formats to support member goals. A successful PDM demonstrates exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work and collaborate effectively within a highly team-centric environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

  • Drive the PFL process within each member’s practice, resulting in growth for their business and helping more patients improve their health care journey
  • Gain buy-in and actionable support for PFL by members and their staff through coaching and by communicating the program’s value
  • Engage members and their staff through regular virtual coaching sessions focused on creating a remarkable first-call patient experience, evaluating call handling, tone, and communication effectiveness through call review and side-by-side coaching
  • Engage hearing care providers in a structured consultation process designed to build value for hearing care by strengthening patient connection, guiding confident conversations, and supporting an effective, ethical hearing aid sales process
  • Partner with members and their staff to deliver the five pathways of training and development: 1) e-learning or short videos, 2) webinars, 3) live events, 4) office development, and 5) one-on-one coaching
  • Monitor, evaluate, and record training activities and program effectiveness, adjusting and escalating concerns when appropriate.
  • Build and deliver impactful professional development plans to members and their staff based on assessment of training needs and recommendations for improvement
  • Develop, foster, and maintain cooperative and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including Strategic Business Unit (SBU) teammates, Audigy leadership, and Shared Services, as well as members and their staff, taking all necessary steps or action to support these stakeholders in achieving business results

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking (virtual and in person)
  • Experienced, impactful trainer and facilitator
  • Possess a thorough understanding of current “best practices” and methodologies in training and adult learning, as well as extensive working knowledge of Audigy’s full scope of training programs and service offerings
  • High level of team orientation, collaboration, and peer leadership
  • Skilled in planning, organizing, prioritizing, and streamlining
  • Ability to maximize internal systems, processes, and platforms
  • Able to coordinate and balance needs of multiple stakeholders including leadership, SBU team, Shared Services, and members

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area of study (preferred)

Experience

  • At least three years of experience in training, organizational development, coaching, or content development in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting (required)

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work in office is required, with occasional hybrid work permitted based on business needs
  • Travel required — up to 25% as needed for member events and trainings
  • This is a full-time role Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm
    • This salaried role may require occasional flexibility outside of standard business hours to support team and business priorities

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • This position will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain.
  • This position will also have to do some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.
  • This position may require standing for long periods of time
