Our Team:

The Swiftwater site is in northeast Pennsylvania and is home to the production of over 120 million doses of injectables that help prevent diseases and enhance patients' quality of life. Our teams follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and procedures while working in a fast-paced team environment.  

The production technician is the “heartbeat” of the manufacturing facilities and is responsible for the high quality and efficient production of our injectables in accordance with current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) for all relevant regulatory agencies (e.g. FDA).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Focus on quality and safety of teammates, processes, products, equipment, and documentation

  • Ability to work in both an individual and team environment

  • Is trained according to all training assignments

  • Completes tasks and corresponding documentation as required by cGMP

  • Ability to lift TBD per health center

Formulation Production Technician

  • Training and qualified for an aseptic environment

  • Supports all forms of preparation and production activities with tanks, parts, filter testing, skid prep, and buffer skids

  • Inventory management and transactions using enterprise system

  • Environmental Monitoring/Cleaning Monitoring

  • Ensures samples are taken, documented, and delivered in a timely manner

  • Works to ensure buffer formulation processes are executed in accordance with the procedure

Filling Production Technician

  • Aseptic gown qualified

  • Training and qualified for an aseptic environment

  • Must attend shift change daily

  • Inventory management using enterprise system

  • Environmental Monitoring sampling

Inspection Production Technician

  • Requires 20/20 vision with corrective lenses and yearly eye exam

  • Bench lead, cap check, and stopper checks

  • Participates in delivery and reconciliation

  • Ensures the completion of sampling and corresponding documentation as required.

  • Ensures the completion of move tickets to ensure accurate inventory. 

Packaging Production Technician

  • Support manual hand packaging and automated packaging equipment

  • Operate machinery, changeover duties, and clean-up functions

  • Assist in pre and post run set up and including line clearance

  • Help with material movement using pallet jacks, carts, etc.

Staging Logistics - Technician Responsibilities:

  • Manages inventory for productions floor with providing material as needed

  • Assist in material movement using forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and/or manual loading

  • Inventory management using enterprise system

  • Works in cold storage and controlled storage areas

  • Responsible to execute the physical disposal of approved material disposal orders

  • Forklift Certification is required within one year of start date

  • Maintained an orderly and neat staging and racking system

  • Valid PA Driver’s license, ability to obtain DOT (department of transportation) medical release.

Environmental Monitoring - Technician Responsibilities:

  • Inventory management using enterprise system

  • Execution in Environmental Monitoring

Equipment Technician Specialists – put on lead or senior

  • Aseptic SU Tech who can take autonomous maintenance role

  • Fine tune performance of line while it is running

  • Work with Equipment Technicians to absorb knowledge to understand how the line functions to optimize performance

  • Review and analysis of PI data to diagnose and remediate performance issues to improve performance

  • The equipment technician should be able to diagnose potential issues and troubleshoot the various lines within the department

Positions within production facilities may change based off of business needs and seasonality.

About you

You are professional, detail-oriented, coachable, and a trainable person who thrives in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required, associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Experience: 6+ months of prior manufacturing/warehouse work experience and/or college degree. Work experience may be used in lieu of college degree. Veterans who served in the US military on active duty and/or National Guard member who have receive honorable or general discharge and/or medical discharge.

  • Soft skills: Cooperates willingly with colleagues, establishes rapport in a friendly and courteous manner. Maintains positive working relationships and is willing to help others.

  • Technical skills: Basic computer skills and previous production experience preferred.

  • Languages: Reading, writing, comprehension, communication in English is a requirement, but all multi-lingual languages welcomed.

  • Special Requirements: Product specific vaccination is required. Able to receive influenza vaccine, required for building access.

The salary range for this position is:

$20.32 - $27.09
