Your Opportunity: Taylor Communications is seeking a Team Lead, Production Ops and Support to join our team in Cranbury, NJ. In this role, you will manage and coordinate production activities, support workflow across operations, and lead team members to ensure jobs are completed accurately, on time, and to client specifications.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organize print jobs based on priority, deadlines, and machine availability
  • Create daily and weekly production schedules for press and finishing operations
  • Ensure jobs move efficiently through prepress, printing, finishing, and delivery
  • Verify work meets client specifications and brand standards
  • Approve final output prior to packaging or shipment
  • Train, guide, and support press operators and production staff
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures and equipment guidelines
  • Identify and resolve workflow bottlenecks
  • Monitor and manage supplies including paper stock, ink, and materials
  • Order materials as needed to prevent production delays
  • Communicate job status, delays, and production constraints
  • Reduce waste, reprints, and production errors
  • Track production costs and labor time

Your Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday – Friday | 2:00pm - 10:30pm
 

You Must Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in print production or a print shop environment
  • Knowledge of digital and large format printing
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills
  • Ability to work around printing equipment and production noise
  • Ability to work overtime based on business needs
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift and use systems to track inventory
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, fractions, and decimals
  • Ability and willingness to perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to follow safety procedures

Requirements Within This Position:

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
  • Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
  • Frequently required to move throughout the facility
  • Regularly moves materials including lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying items up to 25 pounds or more

We Would Also Prefer:

  • 2+ years leadership experience
  • Printing experience

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $25.00 – $27.00. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors which may include the qualifications of the individual applicant, years of relevant experience, specific skills, level of education, certifications, and the location in which the applicant lives or will perform the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package.
